"Outstanding organization - top to bottom! We did a major renovation to

three bathrooms in our house including a high-end custom remodel of the

master bathroom. We were referred to Kevin Hood from a friend who had

nothing but very high praise for the company.

The initial consult was extremely helpful and Kevin and his team provided us

with invaluable information and excellent suggestions. They used

computer modeling to show us exactly how the finished product would look

and gave us multiple options to consider. Looking back, the early planning

was vital as we quickly realized how many decisions were necessary.

Kevin also simplified the process immensely by having us meet with

his plumbing supply vendor. It was essentially one-stop shopping as we

As for the actual job demolition and construction, I can't say

enough about the overall team. Kevin's crew has worked with him for

years and the craftsmanship was nothing short of exceptional.

The camaraderie they have with one another is infectious and they

obviously enjoy what they do. I became friendly with virtually all of the

workers including the plumbers, electricians, tile installers,

demo/construction team, etc. The final product was stunning and

the compliments we get from friends and family continue to come.

Overall, we were extremely happy with Hood Remodeling and would

recommend them to anyone without hesitation or reservation. Kevin takes enormous pride in his company and the work that is performed.

"Since 1990, Hood Remodeling, Inc. has completed all of my remodeling, repairing and construction projects in an expert and timely manner. He has installed skylights, replaced every window in the house, built a Spa Room for an indoor hot tub and installed the tub. He has remodeled the kitchen and two bathrooms, including replacing the floors and installing a custom Roman walk-in shower. He has re-shingled the entire exterior of the house and removed rotting sills from the garage and installed a new garage door. He custom built a granite coffee table and installed tiles on the bay windows.

He has re-roofed the house, installed new cedar gutters and even built a cupola for the garage roof. At a rental location, he has installed a handicapped bathroom and replaced flooring and windows. At another residence, he gutted a townhouse style condominium and replaced all flooring with hardwood and granite and installed new lighting and bathroom fixtures and appliances. In the backyard of this location, he decked in the entire area, built a fire pit, and custom made surround bench seating. He even courteously rescued my air conditioner when I dropped it out of a second story window onto the roof below. I can't recommend him enough, thanks Kevin!"

"This past year during peak COVID season we decided to renovate our entire house. At first, I had contracted with another company that promised the world. What we didn't realize was that they also charged the world. Using contacts we know, we were able to hook up with a local carpenter with almost 50 years of carpentry experience. While he was instrumental in helping us navigate the rebuild, it was his suggestion that I reach out to Kevin and his team of professionals to rebuild our roof and exterior trim as well as a full soup to nuts kitchen remodel. "My house was built in 1917 and was not only outdated, but literally falling apart. I hired Hood Remodeling to build a brand new deck and also remodel my kitchen, dining room and hallway. The original owner had wallpapered directly on the unfinished sheetrock. Kevin suggested that we install Wainscoting directly over it, which not only saved us money in labor and materials, but also the big mess of having to tear down walls. The kitchen was a disaster. The backsplash and laminate were peeling and warped. It had 1960's wallpaper with pasta shapes and fake brick on the walls. UGLY! We wanted to keep the existing cabinets and counters. Kevin suggested that we also Wainscot the kitchen walls and use Subway Tile where the laminate and back splash used to be. What a difference! We had new ceramic tile put on the floors which had several layers of linoleum. The crew also fixed a wall that had bowed out from an old collapsed fireplace. The dining room and hallway had old paneling and holes in the walls. Hood Remodeling installed more Wainscoting and gave the rooms character by doing a loose stucco on the walls. That was all dressed off with crown moulding and chair rail moulding. My deck was very small, big enough only to hold two chairs and a small table. It was also rotting and collapsing. When Hood Remodeling finished, I had a HUGE deck that wrapped around the house with two staircases, beautiful railings and lattice that closed in the bottom of the deck with gates to access underneath if need be! STUNNING! My FAVORITE part of the whole remodel was the radiator covers. I hated my old-fashioned cast iron radiators but did not have the money to replace them. Hood Remodeling built custom covers for them that not only gave us added table tops, but they were painted to match the rest of the room decor. They did such a wonderful job on everything! Kevin was careful to make sure that that we came in on our budget, which was tight. I must add that the crew took extra care not to let my cat or dog escape. I have recommended Hood Remodeling to other family members and friends and they were just as pleased as I am. I can't wait to have them back at my home for more work!"
